• Our work on digital media culture currently focuses on promoting non-violent digital media with youth. Our open speaker corner events gather youth and young adults in Vaasa and in Tampere to learn more about online violence, to join discussion about it, and to share their ideas for potential solutions.

  • At the moment, we focus on strenghtening media literacy skills among youth and young adults. Our media literacy programme will focus on the work we do with the vendors of our cultural street magazine, Magazine Y, and will take better shape during autumn 2024.

  • We are offering youth and young adults from 18 to 29 years, an opportunity to design, implement, and monitor their own project, focusing on some specific aspects of digital media culture. These projects may apply funding from the Erasmus+ programme (as a youth participation project or as a solidarity project).

Our current activities:

Our work with Digital Media Culture currently focuses on promoting non-violent digital media with youth. Our aim is to increase people’s ability and motivation for non-violent talk and constructive behavior in digital and social media. Our media education activities also support diverse individuals to improve their media and digital literacy skills that enable them to successfully navigate in the constantly changing media environment, and to use media as a tool for social participation.
